Under 21

Highfield RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Frank Cooper and Fergus Burke to the positions of U21 coaches for the coming season 2010/2011. Both Frank and Fergus bring a wealth of experience with them to the position as former Captains of Highfield RFC and for the last number of years as Coaches to the U18 / 19s, winning the All Ireland U 18 competition in 2009.
Highfield RFC recognizes the importance of the U21 team and to that extent will work closely with the Senior Panel. We have put together an experienced team including a Team Manger, Operations Manager, Fitness / Weight Trainer and two other committee members. Our primary goal will be to help player development and ultimately help you to progress and play senior rugby with Highfield.
Highfield U21’S Will be holding an information night in the first week in July 2010, where the New Coaching Team will meet all current and potential new players and outline their plans for the forthcoming season , discussing:
• Pre Season Training
• Training Schedule for the season
• Fitness / weight training under strict supervision
• Nutrition / Diet
• Pre Season Tour.
• Training Gear.
• Possibility of limited educational bursary.
